The right ending after all should be a complete shock but come as no suprise.
“I’ve watched the horrible way you have been presented in the press. It’s painful to say, but i think the best way to proceed is to ignore it. Just a google search will show despicable lies said about me too.” - Chomsky
Though Chomsky may not be a sex pest (but then again…..), he does show that he has absolutely no regard and genuine sentiment for victims of sexual, economic, political, societal, and domestic abuse. Absolutely disconnected. That his own intellectual pursuit (and regard as the chosen moral scholar) is above and beyond the plight of the downtrodden (his very gallery). It also shows where academia positions itself - permitting violence and abuse for the sake of critical analysis, and in the case of Chomsky, for the sake of his own intellectual greed, he is more than willing to dine with, make friends with, and humanize the abuser. For it is upon the graves of innocents that he plants his flower, graves that he watched being dug and then filled, for he conversed candidly with the tyrant as he picked out his shovel.
"Writers, for too long had gotten away with their absurd and non-sensical distortions of the truth, for it was cowardly men who glorified courage and honour, and merely the lonely and destitute who romanticized love. And it was those without morals who sought to define them."
